Why Join WAWG? Your Membership Puts You in the Room

WAWG is a volunteer-driven nonprofit. When policy decisions affect your operation —mandatory buffers, overtime rules, trade markets, transportation — WAWG is tracking it and making sure growers have a voice at the state legislature and in Washington, D.C.

Membership also keeps you informed year-round through the Greensheet newsletter, Wheat Life magazine, legislative alerts, and more.

Our History Over 7 Decades of Washington Wheat

WAWG was founded in 1954 by Washington wheat producers who understood that individual farmers couldn't fight policy battles alone. The association's first major effort was forming the Washington Wheat Commission — which later became the Washington Grain Commission when it merged with the Washington Barley Commission.
